Connection Rio took a number of guests to two special training sessions. The first, with Brazilian Olympic wrestler Antoine Jaoude (a PanAm medallist and former MMA fighter) gave the guys a sample of the oldest martial art in the world.

The second academy visit was to luta livre school Renovacao Fight Team (RFT). Luta livre is a no-gi submission wrestling style that closely resembles Catch wrestling. Here the group were exposed to many new and interesting submissions, including some deadly chokes and leglocks.
